CBR FILTRATION​

• Full spectrum chemical laboratories to evaluate novel air purification media (sorbents, catalysts, etc.) and protective materials against a wide range of chemical TIC and CWA challenges at controlled temperature, pressure, relative humidity, and flow conditions.

• Micro breakthrough, tube testing and full filter tests scaled to accommodate low to high flow volume testing, in addition to breather mode simulations, and full filter testing for individual and collective protection. ​

• Characterize materials and understand dynamics of binding and oxidation states of chemical challenges on reactive or physically adsorbent materials.​

• State-of-the-art surface science techniques including Diffuse reflectance Fourier transform spectrometry (DRIFTS), dose extraction, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), ultra-high vacuum (UHV), and Near-Ambient Pressure X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (NAP-XPS) to understand dynamics of binding and oxidation states of TICs and CWAs on reactive or physically adsorbent materials.

• Wet bench evaluation of contaminant-decontaminant-material interactions.​
• Liquid phase reaction kinetics including combinatorial reaction network analysis.​
