Frederick J. Cox, Ph.D. serves as the Director of Research and Technology. In this capacity, he exercises responsibility over the robust science and technology program at the Center, which includes 400 government and contractor personnel, and 200 buildings worth $1.8 billion located at the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The Research and Technology Directorate applies a broad spectrum of scientific expertise to detect, decontaminate, and protect warfighters against chemical and biological warfare agents.
