Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM)

The Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) group of the Test, Reliability and Evaluation Branch (TREB) serves as the interface between testing and analysis. The RAM group specializes in reliability testing and creating customized test plans to meet the reliability requirements of the system being developed. With its specialized test chambers, the RAM group has the ability to conduct Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) to identify defects early in the design lifecycle. Environmental chambers can provide extreme environments to conduct accelerated life testing. The RAM group will determine the appropriate statistical sampling and appropriate test hours to ensure high levels of confidence in meeting reliability requirements.

In addition to testing, the RAM group utilizes the ReliaSoft software suite to perform detailed reliability reports and analysis. This includes but is not limited to Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, Reliability Predictions, Reliability Life Analysis, Accelerated Life Testing, Reliability Growth Tracking, Risk Assessment, and Reliability Simulation.

The RAM group serves as reliability subject matter experts for your toughest reliability challenges and your everyday reliability needs. Please contact TREB to see how they can fulfill your program needs.
